Washington Post – Major renovation of North Cleveland Park home boosts listing price by nearly $2 million
Washington Post, September 7, 2016
A quick glance at the façade of the house at 3615 Upton St. NW in the District’s North Cleveland Park neighborhood reveals a traditional-looking home, but a second glance captures a contemporary-looking addition with narrow panels of glass on three sides.
Built in 1940, this residence recently underwent a massive renovation that opened up the main level floor plan and expanded the living space to 6,000 square feet. Every part of the house has been replaced, including all systems, the windows, the roof and floors.
The house sold in 2014 for $855,000. But after the 4,000-square-foot expansion, the house is now listing for $2.795 million.
